BEE (Black Economic Empowerment)
It is SAHA’s policy globally to be an equal opportunity employer.

In addition, being a newly constituted company in South Africa focusing on the provision of specialised services, we recognise the national importance of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and are playing an active role in contributing in the following areas:

Management and Control:

The current SAHA South Africa profile comprises 31.25% black management at senior management level, 50% at junior management level and 3.5% disabled team members.

Skills Development:

We continue to invest in the development of black employees. To this end we achieved the BBBEE targets by 100% during the financial year ending March 2007.

Preferential Procurement:

We are striving to achieve 60% black procurement by the financial year ending 2008/09.

Enterprise Development:

The management of SAHA is actively involved in skills transfer programmes of two black enterprises.

Socio-Economic Development:

We have recently employed a social development manager who has already taken active steps to form links and guide the company in the implementation of a comprehensive social development programme.

Saha International is committed to and will continue to proactively contribute to South Africa’s BBBEE initiative; to meet the BBBEE compliance requirements and also add real and lasting value to our broader black community.
