Melanie is a Director within the Energy Resources & Advisory practice of SAHA. Melanie specialises in advising clients in energy and environmental markets, environmental policy (particularly related to energy) and low emission and renewable energy generation developments. Melanie assists clients to evaluate oppurtunities and operate in these niche markets and develop practical solutions to potential climate change implications. This includes assessing and commercialising low emission energy generation options, optimising environmental product trading oppurtunities, optimising carbon assets or minimising potential carbon exposure, understanding the implications of existing and developing environmental regulation, developing robust climate change corporate strategies and assisting clients to understand and participate in the variety of environmental product markets operating and developing.

She also has unique hands on experience in environmental product traded markets in Australia, Europe and the US and low emission electricity generation across these jurisdictions. Prior to joining SAHA Melanie worked with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Dutch utility Nuon, Enron Europe and Tarong Energy.
